On behalf of the entire staff of the State College of Basic and Remedial Studies (SCBRS), Sokoto, I warmly welcome you to the College and the famous city of Sokoto Caliphate. You should count yourself lucky and privileged for gaining admission into this model college of basic and remedial training, designed to adequately prepare you for placement into the degree programmes of the Sokoto State University and other Universities across the country as well as other higher institutions of learning within the State and beyond.

As a basic and remedial training institution, the college is governed by certain Regulations that limit the activities of students to the primary functions for which it was established. These would be provided in details in the students handbook and you are expected to comply with these principles.

While welcoming you once again, I am sure you will find your stay in SCBRS interesting and fulfilling. In order to succeed on your individual programme you will need to have a positive attitude and good time management skills.
